Ramadan is the greatest door of Tawbah for all Muslims. Allah always keeps the door of Tawbah open, and Ramadan is Allah’s favorite time to seek Tawbah. Tawbah means asking Allah to accept us no matter who we are or what our past has been – to accept us as we are now. Tawbah is a promise between us and Allah. It is a duaa for Hidayah (هداية), for a new beginning — asking Allah to guide us and help us become better Muslims.
As Muslims, Ramadan is our greatest opportunity to return to Allah through this door of Tawbah.
قال رسول الله (ﷺ) من صام رمضان إيمانًا واحتسابًا، غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He who observes fasting during the month of Ramadan with Faith while seeking its reward from Allah, will have his past sins forgiven.”
