Zuhd (The Beauty of Abstemiousness)

Abstemiousness is not the abandonment of the world but the act of ensuring the world does not reside within your heart.

It is a gentle detachment that allows you to hold worldly possessions with an open hand, recognizing them as temporary gifts rather than your ultimate purpose.

When you lighten the weight of your attachments, you find a newfound clarity that allows your spirit to soar toward higher aspirations.

By prioritizing the eternal over the fleeting, you invite a deep sense of stillness that remains unshaken by external circumstances.

قال رسول الله ﷺ: ازهد في الدنيا يحبك الله، وازهد فيما في أيدي الناس يحبك الناس

“Renounce the world and Allah will love you, and renounce what the people possess and the people will love you.”
