Lowering the Gaze (Ghad al-Basar)

The eyes are the windows to the heart, and protecting them is an act of deep spiritual discipline.

By choosing to lower our gaze, we guard the sanctuary of our inner peace against the distractions that often cloud our focus.

This deliberate act of restraint allows us to look at the world with intentionality, ensuring that what we see does not compromise the light within us.

May we find the strength to direct our vision toward what brings us closer to our Creator.

“O young people! Whoever among you can afford it should marry, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and protecting the private parts.”
